FAQ STACSENSE UV254

The StacSense measures green absorbance at 530 nm and provides a turbidity equivalence expressed in FAU based on this measurement. This is mainly used for internal calculations and compensation of particles present in the sample. However, this parameter is also available to the user.

The StacSense probe is ideal for monitoring municipal wastewater, surface water and drinking water. For industrial wastewater monitoring, the single wavelength absorbance at 254 nm may be a limitation. Contact us for application validation and guidance.

As an optical sensor, it's important to keep the optics clean and free of contamination. This can be done manually, but a port on the back of the sensor allows the connection of a compressed air line that will keep the sensor clean thanks to regular blows. This can be easily controlled by an external solenoid valve.
